George A. Gedon
Funeral Director/Supervisor
George was born in Lock
Haven and later moved to Williamsport where he was raised. His
grandparents lived in Lock Haven and George would find every excuse to come
back to the area so he could hike the mountains and spend time on the river
with his cousins.
After he graduated
from Loyalsock High School in 1979 he continued his education at Northampton
Community College, graduating in 1982. Upon graduating from mortuary
school, he served his apprenticeship in Lock Haven, with the John A. Yost Jr Funeral
Home, now the Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, LLC.
George became very
involved in his community serving on many boards and many local organizations
including the Lock Haven Rotary, Citizens Hose Company, LaFayette Lodge #199
F&AM(Past Master), Lock Haven, Jaycees and currently serves as a session
member of his church.
George was married in
1986 to the former Catherine Baney and together they raised three children,
Michael, Kristen & Kelly while residing at the funeral home in Lock Haven.
Cathy has always been involved in the funeral home business and is currently
serving as a Clinton County Auditor..
George is the proud
grandfather, AKA Dodo to four grandchildren, Silas, Turner, Rory and Mavery.
His hobbies these days include spending quality time with his
family.

Michael A. Gedon
Funeral Director/Supervisor
Michael was raised in
Lock Haven and lived above the Lock Haven Funeral Home as a child. Growing up
in the business, he knew he always wanted to continue the family heritage of
funeral directing.
Michael graduated from
Central Mountain High School in 2005 then going on to Northampton Community
College, where he graduated with a degree in Mortuary Science in 2010. In 2015
he married the former Katie A. Corbett, Katie works as a Dental Hygienist at
Dr. Raymond’s Dental Office in Lock Haven.
Michael is a 3rd generation
funeral director with deep roots to the local community and a strong desire to
serve families in time of need.
Currently Michael lives
in Loganton with his wife Katie, daughter Mavery and 2 dogs. Michael enjoys
spending time with his family and being in the outdoors.
