Virginia Mae (Tib) Barkley, 75 of Renovo, PA passed away December 20 in the Embassy of Hillsdale Nursing Home, Hillsdale PA. Virginia was born in Renova, PA on April 9, 1949 to the late John Robert and Betty Eliva (Clark) Barkley Sr.
Virgina graduated from the Bucktail Area High School in 1967, she furthered her career earning a degree in English Education from Lock Haven University. She had worked as a substitute teacher and the former Piper Aircraft.
Virgina enjoyed playing bingo, music, dancing, bowling and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the 7th Street First Methodist Church of Renovo, The Red Hat Ladies and F.O.E. Women’s Auxiliary, the Lady Birds Organization, and the daughters of the American Revolution.
Virgina is survived by her brother, Vaughn R. (Melinda) Barkley, of Truesdale, Iowa and a sister Cheryl A. (Calvin) O’Rourke of Smethport, PA also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Joan R. Herritt and her brother John R. (Fudd) Barkley, Jr.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremations Services, LLC. A memorial service will be held at a later at the convenience of the family.
