Michael K Durost

 Michael K. Durost, 62, of Mill Hall, Pa., passed away on April 1, 2026 at the Jersey Shore Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

He was born in Lock Haven, Pa., to parents Orin and Phyllis (Berry) Durost on January 11, 1964. He was a proud 1982 Bald Eagle Nittany High School graduate. He went on to join the National Guard after high school, and maintained an occupation as a specialty contractor and construction worker for over 30 years. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing karaoke, riding dirt bikes, and being with his friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his daughter, J-Lin (Tyrion) Durost, of Lock Haven; his life partner, Christy Medeiros, of Lock Haven; his brother, Dan (Jody) Durost, of Lexington, North Carolina; his sister, Brenda (Tony) Lloyd, of Las Vegas, Nevada; and his sister, Pam (Billy) George, of West Palm Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his best friend and brother, Tim Durost.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held at the Gedon Funeral Homes & Cremation Services LLC, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, Pa., 17751 on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will be concluded with a Military Service conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.

Burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to The Gatehouse at UPMC Williamsport.
