Mary H. Yearick, 87, formerly of 367 Fox Hollow Rd., Mill Hall, PA died October 10, 2022 at Centre Care, Bellefonte, PA surrounded by her loving family. Born August 19, 1935 in Howard, PA she was the daughter of the late Earl and Catherine Shuey Harter. On June 1, 1957 in Jacksonville she married Kenneth H. Yearick who died October 29, 2019. Mary was a member of the Mt. Bethel United Church of Christ, a graduate of the former Howard High School and a member of the former Nittany Grange.
Mary along with her husband, Ken, operated a successful dairy farm in Fox Hollow for many years where they raised their wonderful family. Mary was very proud of her family.
After farming Mary pursued a career at Lock Haven University in Housing Service until her retirement.
Mary always had an open door hospitality. She was an excellent cook and baker. She was known for her delicious chocolate chip cookies, pumpkin rolls, and homemade strawberry jelly, which she loved to share with family and friends.
She is survived by:

3 sons: Wayne (Michaele) Yearick, Bellefonte, PA, Keith Yearick, Mill Hall, PA and Lyndon (Janice)

1 sister: Evalene Ishler, Spring Mills, PA
2 brothers: Charles (Connie) Harter, Altoona, PA and Donald (Fadra) Harter, Bellefonte, PA
1 sister-in-law: Grace Harter, Zion, PA
1 brother-in-law and sister-in law: Kermit and Nell Yearick, State College, PA
4 grandchildren: Bailey Yearick (Robert Johnson), Daniel Yearick, Lynzie Yearick (Ryan Pretti) and
Brandon Yearick
1 great granddaughter: Hartlyn Kiess
2 step-grandchildren Lacie (Chris) Devine and Cody (Rachel) Smith
2 step-great-grandchildren: Aspen and Daxton Smith

A funeral service honoring the life of Mary H. Yearick will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 12 noon in the Mt. Bethel United Church of Christ, Nittany Valley Dr., Mill Hall, PA with her pastor Cindy Killinger officiating. Friends will be received in the church from 10 AM until time of services.
