Louise Johnson Obituary

Louise H. Johnson, 95 of Eagle Valley Road, Beech Creek, PA passed away September 21, 2024, at UPMC in Williamsport. Louise was born February 26, 1929, in Beech Creek, PA to the late Francis and Sarah Harris Haagen.  She was married to Harold E. Johnson who preceded her in death on April 16, 1984.

Louise was a 1947 graduate of the Lock Haven High School.  She had worked in the offices of Harbison – Walker Refractories in Monument, Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven, and had been a school bus driver for many years.  She also loved the Lord and served the Monument Church of Christ as pianist, treasurer, and Sunday school teacher. She was a Clinton County Fair volunteer and a member of the Col. Hugh White / Col. John Chatham NSDAR. She was an avid knitter, crocheter, and kept her sewing machine busy.

Survivors include a daughter Joy A. (Kurt) Ketchum and two sons, Barry E. (Karen) Johnson and Dale W. Johnson all of Beech Creek. Louise is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne L. Johnson in 2017 and a brother, Albert (Pat) Haagen.

Funeral services for Louise H. Johnson will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 11:00 am in the Gedon Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LLC 121 West Main Street, Lock Haven, PA.  Officiating will be Pastor Mark Riley of the First Church of Christ in Flemington.  Interment will be in the Hayes-Fearon Cemetery, Beech Creek, PA.

Family and friends will be received in the Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Monument Church of Christ, PO Box 150, Beech Creek, PA 16822
