Larry R Bowmaster,77, of Lamar PA, passed away on June 2, 2026, at home. He was born in Lock Haven to the late Robert R. and Madylon (Yearick) Bowmaster on July 19, 1948. He graduated from Bald Eagle Nittany high school in 1967. Larry was a US Navy Veteran, earned his associates degree as a mortician, and later in life obtained his barber’s license. He owned and operated his own barber shop for the last 25 years in Lamar.
Larry is survived by his sister, Dorothy Louise (Bowmaster) Wyble of Tioga PA. He has six nephews, nine great nieces, three great nephews, two great-great nieces, one great-great nephew, and numerous cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father James E Brand.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Mount Bethel Cemetery, 6031 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, PA 17751 on June 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Susan Champion officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremation Services LLC., 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Pa 17745.
Memorial donations may be made to Nittany Valley Fire Company, 5101 Nittany Valley Dr, Mill Hall, PA 17751.
