Gertrude A Leathers

Gertrude Ann Leathers, 89, of Salona, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, at Haven Place in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.

Born on March 27, 1937, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, she was the beloved daughter of John and Elizabeth Lynch. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Lock Haven in 1955.

Gertrude devoted her career to public service, working at the Clinton County Communications Center, where she served as a Quality Assurance Supervisor. She retired in 1996 after many years of dedicated service. In her retirement she enjoyed crafting and crocheting. She was an active member of the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church and the Prayer Shawl Ministry. 

On January 5, 1956, she married the love of her life, Robert E. Leathers. They were blessed with three children: Gayle M. Barton, Patricia A. Bartholomew, and Robert E. Leathers Jr., all of whom preceded her in death. 

She is also preceded in death by her grandson Matthew P. Miller and great-granddaughter Rhiannon A. Litz.

She is survived by her grandchildren Angelique E. Hand, Larry D. Geraty Jr., Sean L. Geraty, Destini R. Tressler, Frank P. Miller, Robert E. Leathers lll, and Jessica L. Grubbs-Leathers. She is also survived by her many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. 

Funeral services for Gertrude will be held on Friday, June 19th, 2026, 11a.m. in the Gedon Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, LLC, 320 Main Street, Mill Hall, PA 17751, with Pastor Susan Champion officiating. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home 1 hour prior to services. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
