Ellen L. Dowhower

Ellen L. Dowhower, 67, of Coyote Ridge Road, Lock Haven, PA passed away April 25, 2025 at the Heartland Personal Care Home in Woolrich. She was born in Hershey, PA on January 29, 1958 and was the daughter of Marcus W. and Francis H. DeSantis Gainer.

Ellen was a member of the Derry Presbyterian Church in Hershey, PA and a graduate of the Hershey High School.  She had worked in the accounting department at Yingst Homes in the Hershey Area; a custom home builder.   She enjoyed hunting, fishing, scrapbooking, and enjoyed time at her home in the mountains. 

Survivors include her husband, Dennis A. Dowhower, daughter, Rebecca D. Dowhower and son, Derek A. (Becca) Dowhower.  Also surviving are four brothers: Steve (Sharon) Gainer, James (Denise) Gainer, John (Kathy) Gainer, and Chris (Karen) Gainer, and sister: Lori (Brydon) Lidle.  Also surviving are three grandchildren: Luke, Jacob and Gabriel.

 A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
