David C Glessner, 88, of Mill Hall, died on Monday, December 27, 2021. David was born September 1, 1933 in Grove City, PA, the son of the late Carlos and Ida Glessner. He graduated from Grove City College in May 1959 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Health Department, Department of Environmental Resources and Department of Environmental Protection for 36 years retiring in 1995.
David was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed his involvement as a member of the Clinton County Planning Commission, Clinton County Extension, Suburban Water Authority, American Water Work Association, National Rifle Association and United Lutheran Church.
Surviving is his wife, Carol of 62 years; two sons, Gary (Margaret) of Myersville, MD and John of Kings Mill, OH; three grandchildren: Josh (Hanna), Medina, OH, Matt (Hannah), Mountville, PA and Rachel (Josh), Myersville, MD. Also surviving are three sisters; Marillyn Patterson (George), Richboro, PA, Ida Marie Kalajainen, Livonia OH, and Kathleen Schafer (Rich), Sylvania, OH and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home in Mill Hall. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ross Library, 232 W Main St, Lock Haven PA 17745 through the funeral home.
