A. Briggs Obituary

A. Elizabeth Briggs, 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 12, 2023.  Born on February 21, 1928 in Lock Haven Pennsylvania, Liz was a long-time resident of New Hampshire and Pennsylvania.

An ardent fan of the Penn State Nittany Lions and one who always preferred to be outdoors surrounded by the mountains whether cross country skiing or enjoying the scenery of her hometown.  Liz was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and had great enjoyment in sharing her family tree with everyone who came to visit.  As the matriarch of the family, she spent many days connecting with her extended family and will be remembered for her fun nature and caring for those around her.

She is survived by her brother Donald Wadsworth; sister-in-law Susie Duck; daughter Cindy Nix (Rob Martinez) of Dover NH; son Thomas Briggs (Debra) of Berwick ME; son James Briggs (Kay) of Baton Rouge LA; and daughter in law Judy Briggs of Mill Hall, PA; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Briggs, son Wayne Briggs, and son-in-law John Nix.
